Built From the Ground Up
Backyard Builders Decks and Outdoor Living exists because owner Jason White bought his first home and decided to renovate it himself. That house was outdated from top to bottom, and with help from family members, Jason gutted it and brought it back to life. When coworkers saw the finished photos, they started asking if he could do the same kind of work on their homes. One project turned into another, and by 2015, Jason turned that momentum into a business.
In the early days, he worked out of the back of a small pickup truck, taking on just about any home improvement job someone needed. Over time, he found the work that lit him up the most: building decks, fences, and outdoor living spaces. That focus sharpened year after year, and in 2024, Jason rebranded the company as Backyard Builders Decks and Outdoor Living, stepping away from general home repairs to concentrate on what the team does best: high-end deck builds and outdoor construction.
What started with a pickup truck has grown into a full operation with an enclosed trailer, several trucks, professional equipment, and dump trailers. Jason built this company on his own, with support from the people closest to him, and has been running it full-time for the past seven years.

Meet Jason White
Jason’s path to deck building started in a trade school welding program. That hands-on technical training gave him a foundation in precision fabrication and working with materials, skills that translate directly into the structural work behind every deck he builds today.
After renovating his own home and discovering a passion for outdoor construction, Jason launched the business in 2015 and grew it into what it is now through hard work, word of mouth, and a refusal to cut corners. He has built this company from nothing into a professional operation with the equipment, crews, and reputation to handle high-end residential projects.
When Jason is not on a job site or running the business, you will find him spending time with his boys, out on the lake, or working out.
